Capparis ovata desf.'nın analjezik ve antimikrobiyal etkileri yönünden bir ön çalışma
Abstract
A preliminary study was planned for the detection of analgesic and antimicrobial activities of Capparis ovata Desf., which is an important plant both economically and medically, and traditionaly used as I % infusion. infusion (I %) was prepared from buds and administered to mice at 5 different doses (i.p.). The analgesic activity of that infusion was detected after assaying on modified hot plate test. The antimicrobial activity of the infusion prepared from fruits also was investigated by agar-gel diffusion method against some microorganisms hut no inhibition zones were observed. In conclusion, we suggest that further research is needed by using different concentrations of these infusions and standardize extracts prepared from different parts of C. ovata.
