Hastaların hemşirelik hizmetlerinden memnuniyeti Satisfaction of patients with nursing care

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, Afyon Kocatepe Üniversite Hastanesi’nde yatan hastaların hemşirelik bakımı algılayışlarını ve mem- nuniyet düzeylerini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 345 hasta oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında hastaların çeşitli özelliklerini içeren bir anket formu ile hemşirelik bakımından memnuniyet düzeyini saptamak için 15 maddeden oluşan Hemşirelik Bakımı Algı- layış Ölçeği (HBAÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Hemşirelik bakımını algılayışlarını gösteren orta- lama memnuniyet düzeyi 100 üzerinden 86,4±16,6 olarak bulunmuştur. Hastaların medeni hali, öğrenim durumu, ikamet yeri ve hastanede yatış süreleri ile hemşirelik bakı- mından memnuniyet düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre, evli veya dul olan hastaların memnuniyet düzeyleri (sırasıyla, 87,0 ve 88,9) bekar olan hastalara göre (81,0) daha yüksek bulun- muştur (p=0,017). Lisans mezunu olan hastaların ortalama memnuniyet puanı 76,1 iken okur-yazar olmayanlar 88,7 ile en yüksek memnuniyet puanına sahiptirler (p=0,004). İl merkezinde ikamet eden hastaların köy ve kasabalardan gelen hastalara göre daha düşük düzeyde memnun oldukla- rı görülmüştür (p=0,023). Hastaların hastanede yatış sürele- ri ile ortalama HBAÖ puanları arasında önemli bir farklılık görülmüştür. Bir ay ve daha fazla süredir hastanede yatan hastaların memnuniyet düzeyleri diğerlerine göre düşük bulunmuştur (p=0,000). Herhangi bir hastalık durumunda tekrar hastaneyi tercih edeceklerin ortalama HBAÖ puanı 89,6 iken, tercih etmek istemeyenlerin puanı 70,2 olarak belirlenmiştir (p=0,000). Sonuç: Hastaların hemşirelik hizmetlerinden memnuniyet düzeyleri yüksek bulunmuştur.

Objective: This study aimed to determine satisfaction levels of patients with nursing care and the affecting factors in Afyon Kocatepe University Hospital. Material and Methods: The study consisted 345 patients who agreed to participate. To collect data, a questionnaire including the various features of patients and the nursing satisfaction level scale to determine the perception of nursing care which includes 15 items were used. Results: The average satisfaction level of patients with nursing care was found to be 86.4 ± 16.6 out of 100. A statistically significant difference was found between the levels of satisfaction and patients’ marital status, education level, place of residence and period of hospitalization. Accordingly, the satisfaction levels of patients who were married or widowed (87.0 and 88.9, respectively) were higher than those with singles (81.0) (p=0.017). The mean satisfaction level of patients with a graduate degree was 76.1 while the illiterate patients had the highest satisfaction level with 88.7 (p=0.004). Patients residing in the city center were found to be less satisfied compared to those from villages and towns (p=0.023). There is a significant difference between duration of the hospitalization of patients and scores. Satisfaction levels of patients hospitalized for more than a month were found to be lower compared to others (p=0.000). In case of any disease, the mean score of patients who shall prefer the hospital again was 89.6 while it was 70.2 for those who do not prefer (p=0.000). Conclusion: Patients were found to be highly satisfied in terms of nursing care.
