İLK VE ACİL YARDIM PROGRAMI ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ÇOCUK İHMAL VE İSTİSMARINA YÖNELİK FARKINDALIK DÜZEYLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada çocuk ihmal ve istismarının tanılanmasında önemli rolü bulunan hastane öncesi acil sağlık hizmetlerinde mezuniyet sonrası görev yapacak olan ilk ve acil yardım programı öğrencilerinin konuya ilişkin bilgi düzeylerini ve farkındalıklarını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu araştırmanın evrenini bir üniversitenin ilk ve acil yardım programına kayıtlı öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında “Demografik Bilgi Formu” ve “Çocuk İstismarı ve İhmalinin Belirti ve Risklerinin Tanılanması Ölçeği" (ÇİİBRTÖ) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 106 öğrenci katılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin ÇİİBRTÖ puanlarının genel ortalaması 242,4623±24,87 olarak bulunmuştur. Çocuk istismarı ve ihmalinde ailesel özellikleri bilme (p=0,02<0,05), istismar ve ihmale yatkın ebeveyn özelliklerini tanıma alt ölçekleri öğrencilerin mezun olduğu okula göre farklılık göstermektedir (p=0,018<0,05). Farklılık gösteren alt ölçeklerde sağlık meslek lisesi mezunu öğrencilerin ortalama puanı diğer liselerden mezun öğrencilerden daha fazladır. Öğrencilerin toplam ölçek puanları incelendiğinde her bir özellik için ortalama puanların birbirine yakın ve yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Çocuk ihmal ve istismarının tanılanmasında hastane öncesi acil sağlık hizmetlerinde mezuniyet sonrası görev yapacak olan ilk ve acil yardım öğrencilerinin önemli rolü bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle konuya ilişkin bilgi eksikliklerinin giderilmesi, farkındalıklarının arttırılması, var olan yetersizliklerin meslek hayatı öncesinde tespit edilmesi, öğrenim sürecinde müfredatlarında çocuk istismarı ve ihmaline ilişkin eğitimlere müfredatta yer verilmesi ve ayrıntılı olarak ele alınması, istismar ve ihmale uğramış çocukların tespiti ve korunması açısından oldukça gereklidir.

Objective: Our study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge and awareness of first aid and emergency aid program students who will work after graduation in pre-hospital emergency health services, which plays an important role in the diagnosis of child neglect and abuse. Material and Methods: The universe of this study consists of students enrolled in a university's first and emergency aid program. The "Demographic Information Form" and the "Child Abuse and Neglect Symptoms and Risks Diagnosis Scale" (ÇİİBRTÖ) were used to collect data. 106 students participated in the study. Results: The general average of the CBIABRS scores of the students was found to be 242.4623±24.87. The subscales of knowing the family characteristics in child abuse and neglect (p=0.020<0.05) and recognizing the characteristics of parents prone to abuse and neglect differ according to the school the students graduated from (p=0.018<0.05). In the subscales that differ, the average score of the students who graduated from health vocational high schools is higher than the students who graduated from other high schools. When the total scale scores of the students were examined, it was determined that the average scores for each feature were close to each other and high. Conclusion: First aid and emergency students who will work in pre-hospital emergency health services after graduation have an important role in diagnosing child neglect and abuse. Therefore, eliminating the lack of knowledge on the subject, increasing their awareness, and eliminating the existing deficiencies before their professional life It is essential to identify and protect children who have been abused and neglected, and to include training on child abuse and neglect in the curriculum and to address it in detail.
