Ortaöğretim Öğrencilerinin İkinci Yabancı Dil Olarak Almanca Öğrenmeye Yönelik Tutumlarına İlişkin Ölçek Geliştirme Çalışması

Abstract

Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin ikinci yabancı dil olarak Almanca öğrenmeye yönelik tutumlarını belirleye bilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında ikinci yabancı dil olarak Almanca dersi alan 386 ortaöğretim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Faktör analizi öncesinde veri uygunluğu KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) değeri ile belirlenmiş olup, KMO değeri .934 olarak bulunmuştur. Cronbach-Alpha katsayısı ise .890 olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçek altı faktörden oluşmaktadır ve faktörler ilgi, ilgisizlik, güven yoksunluğu, güven, sebat ve korku olarak adlandırılmıştır. Ölçeğin her bir alt boyutunun Cronbach-Alpha katsayısı İlgi (0.96), İlgisizlik (0.90), Güven Yoksunluğu (0.86), Güven (0.87), Sebat (0.85), Korku (0.69) olarak bulunmuştur. Veri analizinde madde toplam analizi, t testi ve faktörler arası korelasyon analizi uygulanmış ve bu analizlerin sonuçlarının anlamlı olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Ölçeğin toplam varyansın % 62,218’ni açıkladığı belirlenmiştir. 41 maddeli 6 faktörlü ölçeğin doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile yapı geçerliliği test edilmiştir. Çalışmada Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin ikinci yabancı dil olarak Almanca öğrenmeye yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir.

The aim is to develop a valid and reliable scale that can determine secondary school students' attitudes towards learning German as a second foreign language. The sample of the study consists of 386 secondary school students who took German as a second foreign language in the 2019-2020 academic year. Before the factor analysis, the data suitability was determined by the KMO (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) value, and the KMO value was found to be .934. The Cronbach-Alpha coefficient was determined as .890. The scale consists of six factors and the factors are named as interest, indifference, lack of confidence, trust, persistence and fear. The Cronbach-Alpha coefficient of each sub-dimension of the scale was found as Interest (0.96), Indifference (0.90), Lack of Confidence (0.86), Confidence (0.87), Persistence (0.85), Fear (0.69). In the data analysis, item total analysis, t test and correlation analysis between factors were applied and it was found that the results of these analyzes were significant. It was determined that the scale explained 62,218% of the total variance. Construct validity was tested by confirmatory factor analysis of the 41-item, 6-factor scale. In the study, a valid and reliable scale was developed in order to determine the attitudes of secondary school students towards learning German as a second foreign language.
