All-Ceramic Systems In Dentistry

Abstract

In dentistry, porcelain is commonly used material which is aesthetic and biocompatible as well as it can be used direct or with a metal support because of its physical properties. Although metal-ceramic restoration systems are one of the treatment approaches of missing or defective teeth, using opaque porcelain and metal, limits the usage of these restorations in aesthetic regions because of the negative colour formations below the porcelain. Also allergic reactions against metal may be observed in some patients.These disadvantages in restorations with metal substucture has revived the all-ceramic systems. Allceramic restorations don’t include any metal substructure and with their high translucent feature they can be used at aesthetic regions

Diş hekimliğinde porselen; estetik ve biyouyumlu olmasının yanı sıra fiziksel özelliklerinden dolayı doğrudan veya metal destekli olarak sıklıkla kullanılan bir materyaldir. Metal-seramik restorasyonlar, eksik veya defektif dişlere uygulanan tedavi yaklaşımlarından biri olmasına rağmen kullanılan opak porselen ve metal, porselen altındaki olumsuz renk oluşumlarından dolayı bu restorasyonların estetik bölgelerde kullanımını sınırlandırmaktadır. Ayrıca bazı hastalarda metale karşı alerjik reaksiyonlar gözlenmektedir. Metal alt yapılı restorasyonlardaki bu dezavantajlar tam seramik sistemlerini gündeme getirmiştir. Tam seramik restorasyonlar, herhangi bir metal alt yapıya sahip değildir ve üst düzeyde gösterdiği translusent özellik ile estetik bölgelerde kullanılabilirler
