Polymer functionalized materials for design of electrochemical sensing devices
Özet
In this chapter, polymer functional materials designed for electrochemical sensing devices are discussed in detail. Grouping was done according to the preferred electrochemical methods for analyte determinations. Here, we examined more than 100 articles according to the studies carried out in the last five years in terms of polymer material types, working electrodes, analyte type, working range, detection limits, interference study, and analytical applications. The polymer and its derivatives used for nanosensor development were evaluated. In addition, the advantages of polymer-supported materials used for this electrochemical sensing were discussed. The type of coating of polymer functional materials on the electrode surface was also investigated. Consequently, the general trends and challenges in the production of electrochemical sensors with polymeric functional materials are discussed in this chapter. © IOP Publishing Ltd 2024.
